I wrote a line oriented IRC client in BASH as a homework and proof of concept.
It should work in POSIX compatible environments, its most special requirements are telnet and md5sums. Its architecture makes easy writing bots… if you have a virtual machine, jail or chroot environment for it.
My favorite IPC solution is appending variable definitions to a temporary file, and sourcing it from different threads.
The release contains the script, a sample configuration file, and a manpage.
A shield, a helmet and a lance are required equipments to the freshmen’s camp of BME-VIK this year. The shield is ready now. It’s made of wood, its diameter is about 45cm.
I’m having Ubul for a week now. He is not a dog (as his name would suggest to a Hungarian), but an EeePC. I like him very much. He works very well with Ubuntu, and I can work with him too (unlike with the 14" one). I bought him with Xandros, but installed Ubuntu very soon. He is quite hot. I can get used to his keyboard, the screen size is perfect. I like his resolution of 130dpi. He works longer from battery than Zotmund, my Acer notebook does. The 4GB SDHC card I bought for it is bad, I should change it.
Toros, Kelemeng, and I are at Szilveszter's flat for this weekend. Our goal is to tidy ubuntu.hu up. ubuntu.hu is since 10 o’clock down. It happened after running the command wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/phpmyadmin/phpMyAdmin-2.11.6-all-languages-utf-8-only.tar.bz2?download.
